violin deconstructed

Whatever that might mean to you...

11x14, oil on canvas. Sort of in Jan Boyer, now come to think of it. Not intentional. The Jerome Neal influence on the perspective of the jutting pipe-bow is evident to me, given his monumental approach to representing music in abstract.

the wine glasses on the playing cards seem as if you painted the thing as it sat in front of you.

Did you do the same thing to the violin?

yeah, though we put this in the e-mails, I'll write it here too... I see what you mean about the "A" under the wine glass, but I wanted to feature that in the second, most recent wine glass sucker... the first didn't have the same angle and I couldn't squeeze it in. yeah, the violin is from memory... good spot.
